The Gothic Quarter, La Rambla, Modernista Barcelona with the Gaudi masterpieces and Joan Miro art, the plazas and markets, Roman ruins, the parks, waterfront and mountains, all very accessible with the excellent metro system and fantastic tourist bus made our 5 day trip one of the most interesting holidays I have ever had. We loved the location. We arrived in the city at 9am after our flight, dropped our bags at the hostel and walked to a nearby cafe then to the Sagrada Familia. Our bags were in our apartment by 2pm and we enjoyed the great coffee provided and the size and comfort of the modern, clean rooms. The apartments are an easy walk to the city attractions including the flower and food market, the main streets and a Hop On Hop off bus stop. The apartment was in a fantastic location and was very well appointed. It was very roomy for five people and the staff was helpful. My only small complaint is the street noise which was present throughout the night and could not be blocked. Of course this is the price you pay for such a convenient location on a big city, but if you are a light sleeper it could be a problem. Otherwise a fantastic choice.
