The breakfast room is a lovely location with comfortable chairs and soothing background music being played, all getting the day off to a great start.

  From the minute we arrived the service was impecable our car was parked no fuss, we were early for the book in but were offered a complimentary beverage whilst waiting and the pleasant surprise we were upgraded to a larger famiy room with the best mountain view ever the convenience of being connected to the shopping mall is also a plus the room ... was die leute sagen » service was quick and the staff friendly the room amenities were great and the reataurants were out of this world....then breakfast came the buffet se - We were overnighting prior to a long flight the next day to Dubai/Kabul. This could not have been a nicer stay. Car parked, check in seamless, room very nice. Our view was an ocean view which was great. The convenience to the waterfront activities and shopping was excellent. Late night coffee and cake in front of the fireplace was superb. The breakfast buffet was possibly the best we have had, just fabulous. Staff were all on their game, excellent service.

  Fabulous place. The owners are accommodating, friendly, practical, the rooms spacious and airy and a wonderful balcony running around with a direct view of the mountain. Small things like free videos to watch, wonderful spacious common rooms, delightful outside breakfast, and that they thoughtfully put on the floor heating in case I was cold was ... was die leute sagen » so special. Quietly done and not in your face at all and not overly furbished. They organised a 4am reliable taxi service. - Very clean and hygienic in all areas of the guesthouse. Run by very friendly and warm hosts and staff. A great selection of DVD films to choose from, even a selection for more broadminded folks. Breakfast is great and well presented. Awesome view of table mountain and location to nearby attractions is a stone's throw. We stayed in room number 5 and the bed was huge! Premium quality linen and bedding make for an amazing night's rest.

  This hotel lived up to all our expectations and more. We arrived at 10.30am and expected to just leave our luggage, but we were given our room straight away. All the staff were very accommodating and the room was very pleasant. The road was bellow our room but we did not hear any noise at all. A lovely big bath was a treat.   Honestly say this is one of the best if not the best hotel I haver stayed in. Staff amazing, cinema for the kids, lazy leopard bar for great cocktails food and views, best hotel breakfast I have ever had and rooms to die for. Just amazing - Staff very friendly and efficient.   I usually stay at the Waterfront and only chose the Taj out of neccesity because everyone else was full with Argus bookings. I was very pleasantly surprised. This is an excellent 5 star hotel at a fraction of the cost of some competitors. The city location is vibrant and interesting.   Everything about this guesthouse is wonderful. Joe and Marius, the owners, are incredibly accommodating. Though it was too c - I stayed at Mountview for 6 nights and my experience was very positive. Joe sat down with me for 30 minutes on the first day and explained about the tours, local stores, safety and all other questions I had knowing that it was my first time in Cape Town. The hotel was kept clean at all times and I had no troubles by commuting to the hotel alone. Also staying at Sea Point (quite neighborhood in a shadow of hill and 5 minute walk to the ocean breath) was exactly what I was looking for in this

  The staff made us feel like we were at home as soon as we got there. The breakfast was very good and a great way to start the day.It was very clean and well kept. The internet worked just fine for us. It was hard to leave. - Very comfortable, well located. It combines a quiet, "off the beaten path" location with a hotel that was within walking distance of all the best of Cape Town.
