The view from our deck was amazing, probably better than the view from the hotels that are nearer to the reail station and port. The room was pretty big, and had all the facilities needed to cook and eat. For those who do not cook, there is a bar/restaurant on the basement that offers basic meals at fair prices.

Das Personal war sehr aufmerksam und hat sich prima um uns gekümmert.

Flam is a very beautiful place at the bottom of a fjord, and shouldn't be missed. The hotel is 2 minutes from the train overlooking the fjord. This hotel is located in a beautiful spot, a very short walk to the Flam train station and the Gutvagen ferry dock, and next door to Flam's excellent microbrewery/restaurant. Our room was large, bright, had a really nice view from room and balcony, a very comfortable bed, and good reading lights. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Beautiful main lodge with a lovely restaurant and wrap-around porch. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We stayed in one of the small cabins with no bathroom and it was clean and warm with a kitchenette and sink. The setting was beautiful with the surrounding mountains. The price was excellent. -

The location is excellent, just around the corner from Balestrand and 500m from the ferry. It is also a good base for lots of walks. We had the 3 course dinner at the hotels restaurant which was yummy but the best was the wonderful view while eating dinner. We could see dolphins in the fjord! The town of Flam is in a beautiful setting at the end of the Fjord- we went hiking and it was breathtaking- so beautiful- I would recommend renting bikes and riding back to Aurland- along the Fjord, a beautiful setting- the bkie ride from Flam to Mrydal is only for people who have experience- it is a winding path, steep mountians and lots of uphill- only do this if you are in shape and know how to ride a mountain bike- you could also walk this trail or part of it
