  Es ist bequemer, nicht mit dem Auto anzureisen, da nur teure Parkplätze in der Nähe zur Verfügung stehen. Dank der zuvorkommenden Begleitung durch den Chef haben wir dann doch noch Glück gehabt. Being on holiday, I missed the e-mail sent from the hotel enquiring on our arrival time, short wait for the door to be opened. Our room and bathroom were lovely. We loved the character of the house (we stayed in the loft room). It was very close to everything in Amsterdam.   My host was very nice! The place was nice and comfortable. It's like a home away from home. It was quiet except for the church bells ringing nearby but given all the possible noise somewhere else, I'll take the church bells anytime! Also serves as an alarm clock for 8am. If the other occupants are rowdy the host will tell them to be quiet.

I was only staying for one night en route to Africa, but they were very accommodating in every way. The Garden Room is spacious and comfortable. They thoughtfully provide breakfast in the room so that guests can have it at whatever time is best. Also, the location is excellent--very walkable to many if not most of Amsterdam's major places of interest. One note: the two flights of stairs are steep, so that may be something to consider.

The owner was incredibly hospitable and helpful in directing us to sights and restaurants within the city. We would highly recommend La Remise to any travelers wishing to vacation, yet feel like a local. Would most certainly stay at La Remis - La Remise is in a quiet street but close to all the activities. The well designed room/bathroom was 'roomy', warm and very comfortable and the served morning breakfast set us up for the day.Our charming host was very helpful: offering advice on places to visit or where to go to eat. I/we would recommend this place to couples. La Remise is quite special.
