I arrived early on the day before I was leaving The Netherlands and while I understandably couldn't get into my room before noon, the staff stored my bags so I could go explore Amsterdam.   A beautiful place to stay! You can take the Ibis/Etap/Novotel bus from the airport and get off at Novotel, then walk one block. Grocery store is a few blocks away. Good prices there. Staff was very helpful and friendly.
