  Patrice and his family were fab hosts! We enjoyed getting to know them and appreciated the space they gave to us, we were not bothered or pestered at all. The Riad is a new venture for them and I cannot recommend their good value, clean and cosy accommodation highly enough. It is situated in the Kasbah so is very close to the sights yet is so quiet you would think you were further away. It's tranquil and like a small oasis in a place of chaos. Lovely to go back to after a busy day sight seeing. Very authentic in style. Beautiful rooms. Lovely roof terrace.

The taxi can drop you at the doorstep unlike many other Riads which are located in the narrow lanes of the Medina and have to be reached on foot. Staff: The staff at the Riad is very friendly and went all - The Riad is very nice, we had a nice breakfast every morning and got an upgrade of our room for free. The room had aircon, was cleaned everyday and the bathroom is perfect. The swimming pool is small, but if you just want to cool down it's a perfect size! I would absolutely recommend it. It's a ten minute walk from the 'Jema el fnaa' square in a quiet neighborhoud.

They even arranged to supply a birthday cake for me as a surprise for my partners 40th!   After a well-organised transfer from the airport we arrived at this lovely riad with very welcoming and friendly staff. Location was ideal for the souks and main square (only 1-2 minutes' walk) but in a very quiet area. We could not thank Fouad enough for his hospitality. He always make sure that we've got that we need. The breakfast is delicious and massive. Al - I stayed at Riad Balkisse on my first visit to Marrakesh I have to say that what made my stay so great is the staff. Fouad is a genuinely caring person. . We arranged to have dinner in the Riad the night we arrived it was delicious. The roof terrace is a fabulous place for the tasty breakfast or a quiet drink in the evenings. Riad Balkisse is well located and is only a 3 minute walk from the Souks and a 2 minutes walk to the main square. Many thanks for an unforgettable stay to all the smiling
