We appreciated being showed the way to the main square the first evening and that there was always a member of staff waiting on the corner of the main street to escort us to the riad late at night. Great facilities and atmosphere to escape the hustle and bustle of Marrakesh medina.

Someone from The Red House came to pick us up from the airport and was already waiting for us when we arrived at the airport. This was a great way to start the holiday. This was my first time travelling alone to Marrakech and a single female could have been daunting, but, was my favourite trip over! Be smart, get Pascal to arrange the car to collect you from the airport, so you don't get lost in the souks trying to find the riad with luggage, and do practice runs during the day from the square to the riad. As long as you know where you are in the square you can find your way home! Mm

  Truly amazing--a real gem!! Our riad experience in Janurary of this year was good....but in no way compares to the fabulous March surprise that awaited us at Dar Akal! This riad is luxurious & comfortable in a perfect location to explore the wonders of Marrakech...the ambience is magnificent! Brahim, the property manager, is the most amazing host & the cook/chef Nezha perpares a most delicious breakfast feast...every morning new su - I so enjoyed my time at this sublime riad, and am already planning a return trip. It is newly restored, tastefully decorated and an oasis of calm and welcome in the city. The small plunge pool on the roof makes all the difference on a hot day. The staff are lovely, the place is excellent value for money. Breakfast is always a little different and is great. I felt right at home. Just lovely.
