  We r a group of 6 where 3 of them r a family. We booked a double standard room that came with a double bed and a single bed for 3 pax. We arrived quite late around 8.30p.m. Upon arrival we were taken aback as the receiption is just a mere small room without a lobby not like the one we usually see. And without much problems we were issue the keys to o - The hotel location is good! Easy to get local food. About 15 minutes walk to Gyeongju city! During my stay , one of the day we were unable to leave the hotel due to typhoon. Hotel do provide us the menu book for Delivery Foods! The room is very clean and noise free. I will choose this hotel again on my next trip to Gyeongju.

It appears to be a family business, so I met only an old lady and gentleman who I assumed to be a couple. They do not really speak English but I had no problems checking in.   The family who run Tavo House are some of the nicest people I have ever met! They will help you in any way they can and become your best friend while doing it. While I was there they were trying out a "Free Tour" optional activity which involved setting me up with a local to take me on a personalized tour of their favourite part of the city. When he discovered I was learning Korean, he tried his best to encourage me to speak and even brought me to his local cafe for a meal, where nobody spoke English. His wife made the most wonderful breakfasts on both of the days I was there. If I ever travel to Gyeongju again, this is the house I would choose to stay in.
