  I like the fact that when we had some last minute change of plans, the receptionist helped us instantly in cancelling the last night of our stay (we stayed for 5 nights) as we opted to go to another city for our last 2 days. After checkout, we were able to leave our bags, rent some bikes from the hotel, and bike around the city until our departure later that day. Great way to explore the city (although close to Nara park it gets a bit too crowded to ride the bike).

  An extremely well-designed (but small and compact) hotel. Very friendly staff - knowledgeable and helpful and really kind. We've stayed in 4 hotels over the past 10 days in Japan and this is easily the best; much better than the place we stayed in Kyoto for 1.5 times the price. The wifi was good and reliable, and they also had desktops and printers available in the common room, as well as free reading material, tea and coffee facilities, maps and a kitchen.
