There are some restaurants and convenient stores around the hotel. Rooms are clean, beds and pillows were comfy, and all 3 types of the breakfast were yummy. The public bath was really nice too, good and relaxing, especially after a long walk touring the city. - we had no choice but booked a family room (2 nights) good for 5 people but we were only just 2 adults with our 15 month old since no better hotel was available during our trip. it turned out a great choice because it was very spacious and clean and cozy. my lil toddler love running around. will booked same hotel again if we ever get back to Kyoto next time. worth money spent with good breakfast delivered to our room every morning. :)
