Awesome in general. The staff were consistently thoughtful and happy, and jumped through hoops for us whenever we had even the smallest questions. They are more than kind, and the services offered are definitely appropriate to the price. Of course, the location is also brilliant, right on the Yamanote train line (Gotanda Station), and has a grocery store and many restaurants nearby.

This hotel is in a really great location. Close to the Asakusa Gate and temple and there are many small shops and restaurants close by. For Tokyo staying in Tokyo as a family of 4 we had plenty of space in a traditional Japanese room. I would stay again without hesitation.

minutes away from many things to see and excellent traditional shopping.
Staff are helpful, although it will help if you can speak a little
Japanese. I have stayed in their tatami rooms before and this time
stayed in a single (western style) room which was spacious for a single.
Good to have free wifi, unlike many hotels. Tip - buy the koto cd at the
reception desk as a memento.

Returned here for the 4th time now, and what can I say, I have not already said. Its just a great little place, in a fantastic location, with great friendly and helpful staff. Comfortable with all you need. 3-4 mins walk to Tsukuba Express Station and 5 mins to Tawaramachi Metro Station. Close to Ueno, with the Ueno Zoo and Ueno Park which is lovely in Cherry Blossum season, and the Zoo has the cute Panda’s.
