We took the subway to Ponte Mammolo, and a ~50 min bus ride from there to Tivoli. Heading to Tivoli, and Catillo in particular, had to be one of the best decisions we made during our trip to Italy.   The owner and his family were extraordinarily kind - nothing was too much trouble for them. They even gave us an exceptionally early breakfast when our plans for the day required an early start. Safety never an issue (felt very safe). Owner of property and family wonderful, accommodating, and very helpful. Located near the train ( short walk) and only small fee to travel into Rome by train. Excellent dining, friendly locals. Highly recommend staying at this wonderful B and B. Some traffic noise, but even that ended by 2100. Would love to stay again!
