Although it is further out from city central, it is easy to take the bus. Don't listen to reviews saying it is in a bad area - we had no issues and even walked around at night (we were just two females). Yes there is graffiti but it is everywhere. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy, the staff was super friendly (be sure to get a map at reception - we didn't use anything else and left our bulky travel books in the room) and the rooms clean and modern

I was particularly impressed that when I tried to ask a porter a question and he could not answer I got a call so fast from reception to ask what was my question before I had time to pick up the phone to call reception. Durin two week period of my stay, they cleaned the room everyday and changed the towels etc. Internet wifi signal was perfect in the room. Metro station was in 2 min distance.
