Great location in a quiet room north of the main touristic part of the city, but still only about a 8-10 minute walk from the Duomo.   A very nice, clean, modern B&B. The owner Antonella is very friendly and helpful with any questions or concerns about things to see or getting around. A 10 minute walk from the train station down Via National, and about the same distance from the city center. 5 min away from nice restaurants and bars, good breakfast and coffee in the AM. What made our stay perfect was the owner antonella- such a lovely lady. She was very helpful in what to see and recommended some great places to eat. Location was good easy to get around by bus or walking. Would definitely recommend and would stay again when back in florence.

  We fully enjoyed our stay at La Boheme; not only because it is in a great central location in Lucca but because the staffs there were so friendly and helpful, even before we arrived. The rooms are not cheap, but nothing in Europe is; however for the price, you are getting a wonderful stay during your time in Lucca.   The resident is very close to Florence, we had a rental car but did not use it because there was a bus station 100m away, took us about 15 min' to arrive florence's center. Moreover the staff was very kind and helpful, especially Fabrizia! Breakfest was nice with good quality materials and the coffee was great(it is Italy after all). For conclusion, a great value pe - The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help. The rooms are very large and modern and the breakfast is very nice. The b&b is about 15 mins by car into Florence or say 20 mins on the bus. There is a bus stop just outside of the accomodation. In addition we had a very nice meal at a restaraunt about 400 metres from the b&bB on the main road to Florence which was run by a family originally from Inverness.

  The staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel is conveniently located about 10 -12 min walk from Florence SMN train station. The hotel is on the third floor of the building without elevator, but the owner has helped with our luggage, so it was not an issue at all. Very clean and quiet. The breakfast room has an astonishing view of Florence roof - The Locanda dei Guelfi proved to be a good choice for us and we enjoyed our stay there. You never know quite what to expect even if you have read the reviews before you go. We had no difficulty in finding the hotel and the steps up to the third floor were not an issue for us although I can see that it might be a problem for some. The location is excellent although the area is quite busy but this was not a problem for us. The room and facilities were very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

  First of all, the location couldn't be better. It is located about 2 blocks south of the Duomo, and 2 blocks north of Ponte Vecchio bridge and we were able to walk everywhere we wanted. There are city buses, and unbelieveably one of them comes right down the narrow street with a stop right in front of the B&B, so coming from the train statio... was die leute sagen » n with suitcases was no problem (1.5 euro bus ticket). The staff was excellent, and helpful in suggesting sights not to miss and how to get to them - Bruno showed us the most wonderful hospitality, we had a fantastic stay with him in Florence! He helped us book a lovely restaurant and was endlessly helpful with where to go and what to see in his home town. The B&B is his home and is run with warmth & love. The rooms are clean, comfortable & simple. There are tea and coffee facilities available at all times and a little mini bar for your use.
