  The Petrara Resort is a charming agriturismo resort in Avola. During our stay there, there were no wandering farm animals except for a couple of cats. The pool is really big and kept clean and kids have plenty of room to wander about and play. We had a quadruple room which was quite spacious and very clean with quite comfortable beds. The parking spaces are numbered matching the room number so each guest has his own parkin - What a haven of peace & tranqulity set in beautiful gardens with a very inviting pool - we had a lovely time just wished we`d stayed longer.Our hosts couldn`t do enough for us and even followed us out in the morning to make sure we got on the motorway ok - thankyou for a very relaxing stay.

  Great location, very accommodating.. Very helpful staff, very close to Fontana Bianche.. The bicycles available for free on the property were a great way to get to the beach and rocks.   Blu is situated about 1km from the port of Vulcano. The staff speak English and they were only to happy to send the shuttle bus to collect us and our luggage. The Hotel is actually a large collection of spacious, full equipped apartments, ie cooker, utensils etc. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the apartment. Here you will find seati - The pool area was great with a stunning view over the bay. The snack bar served excellent salads and paninis for lunch. The accommodation was spartan but clean and comfortable and well-designed so that you stay cool even at the hottest part of the day. The staff were very helpful and considerate and the shuttle bus down to the town is a great benefit. Ring or e-mail ahead and they will pick you up from the ferry when you arrive.

  We loved Marettimo and this hotel was a good place to enjoy it from. The rooms are simple but comfortable and clean without the dreaded plastic mattress covers we often found elsewhere in Sicily. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had a great dinner at Il Veliero on the sea front at the other side of town with great food and a - Lovely room, terrace & breakfast. The accomodation was perhaps a little basic but spacious and everything you need is available and functioning. The island is perfect and peaceful. Some restaurants and little shops. All you need to relax at the sea. Best stay of our trip!

  The location, up a private road, was superb giving wonderful views of the surrounding countryside and even a glimpse of the sea. The restaurant was excellent as was the service. Tomasso, one of the waiters, was excellent and also very funny!
