  Blu is situated about 1km from the port of Vulcano. The staff speak English and they were only to happy to send the shuttle bus to collect us and our luggage. The Hotel is actually a large collection of spacious, full equipped apartments, ie cooker, utensils etc. The bathroom was spotless as was the rest of the apartment. Here you will find seati - The pool area was great with a stunning view over the bay. The snack bar served excellent salads and paninis for lunch. The accommodation was spartan but clean and comfortable and well-designed so that you stay cool even at the hottest part of the day. The staff were very helpful and considerate and the shuttle bus down to the town is a great benefit. Ring or e-mail ahead and they will pick you up from the ferry when you arrive.

  The island had been closed for any boats because of weather, so the owner contacted us and proposed to change for the next day. However, it was in November - low season. The rooms with sea view are great (because of the sea view). There is also terrace with swings and chairs. Rooms are big, with small kitchen and old styled furniture. Very cosy. Main reason for visit was the crater trek, but found that there is so much more to do on the island.

  A super alternative to the touristic hotels! Next to the beach, relaxed, very cheap (compared to hotels on Lipari). The owners were very kind to let us in at midnight which is not common for campsites (due to cancelling our ship we had to take the late one to get to Lipari). Very clean basic bungalow with a kitchen and a nice terrace. We s - I liked that it was not crowded--because of the off -season probably, that the staff was helpful, the camping is closely monitored , so you have keys for the gates if you come back in the evening. I was in a bungalow which was fine, I didn't venture in other sides of the camping but all looked quiet and the guests were behaving in a civilised manner.

  The hotel is located down a little alley just off the main street in Lipari town. This is really convenient for restaurants, shops and bars of which there are a lot and a very good. The location is also perfect for ferries being 100m from the port. The familiy who run the hotel could not be nicer and were very helpful with everything. Small, equipped kitchen (fridge and hotplates) in which we could cook with. Clean and very well located in the centre of the old town, close to port. Lovely terrace on the roof of the building looking out over the buildings and port. We really enjoyed this accommodation and believe it was excellent value.
