  We booked a budget room but were upgraded, for a small negotiable additional charge, to a better room which had wonderful views over Lago Albino and facilities outside in which to relax and enjoy the view. The pastries were absolutely wonderful and were accompanied by your choice of beverages, yogurt, bread and homemade jam, and a hardboiled egg. The dog, Lu-La, while a Giant Canne Corso, is a cream puff who loves to be petted and will follow you all around the property but not into any of the facilities.

The hotel is situated close to the Termini station, so there is no need to take a taxi. We had some difficulty with the guy at the desk and no English, but it just added to the charm of knowing you were in Italy.
