We even went into town for a day and it wasn't too bad, there is a bus that stops out front and takes you up to the subway. Around the corner was 2 very good restaurants. At first the neighborhood looked run down but I felt safer there then many of the tourist areas in Rome. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
