When it proved impossible to book train tickets from overseas, the manager very helpfully booked us the best seats on the heritage train down to Mettupalayam. The cottages are in a lovely quiet setting with wonderful views across the valley towards Coonoor. The restaurant meals were excellent. Fantastic location, Excellent view, nature at its best, relaxed ambiance, clean linen and washrooms, courteous staff. In fact a wholesome experience. A must visit and stay location, just a stones throw from the city's hustle and bustle, but peace as you have never experienced before.
