  Grand Guesthouse Gardakot is absolutely superb!!! My husband and I were visiting Iceland for 10 nights, and our stay here was our favorite of the whole trip. Hands down. We chose to have a room with a private bathroom, and it was VERY private, gorgeous, spacious, tastefully decorated, and had the most comfortable memory foam bed! Some places smelled of sulfur sooooo bad) We stayed here for our first night, and we had been up for 48 hours, arrived - It was the best guesthouse we have ever seen!!!! The young owner is absolutely charming and friendly and gabe each information you ask for. The house inside id newly renovated. A big comfortable and old stylished kitchen, a big dining table where the breakfast was served (nearly everything you can imagine) with homemade pancakes and a couch are in the entrance. Two rooms with bathroom are also there and two rooms with shared bathroom in the decond floor. All rooms exquisite and the bath a dream

  Wonderful place to relax and enjoy Iceland countryside. Many places of interest nearby because it is right in the golden triangle. The hot tub is amazing. Beautiful views from the cottage that has open glass windows and a very big terrass. It is even better than on the pictures. Many towels provided/ board games... everything is ready to enjoy... - I was travelling with my family from Belgium through Iceland and we stopped at Laugarvatn on our way from Reykjavik through the highlands to Akureyri. The summerhouse is perfectly located in the center of the famous Golden Circle. Perfect location, beautiful nature and view, quiet, excellent facility, superb terrace with hot tub and BBQ. If you want to experience Iceland like the Icelanders, this is a typical Icelandic summerhouse

  This was the best place we stayed. It's absolutely amazing - the guesthouse is immaculate, only a year old. The beds are so comfortable, the room is simple and homey. The couple who own the guesthouse are the most friendly people we met in Iceland, the gentleman who owns the place is so kind and genuine. We stayed two nights, and I was sad to leave, it was the best overnight experience we've had anyplace!! Clo - A fantastic place to stay. The owner was an extremely friendly and helpful gentleman, and could not have helped us more. After we arrived, he showed us our room, then took the time to sit down with us and chat about our plans, and gave us recommendations on the best routes to drive and where to eat dinner etc. The room itself was great - it was modern, clean, and comfortable.   The Galleri was very easy and once inside it was so warm and cosy with underfloor heating. The decor was so individual and immaculate. We had a patio door in our bedroom through which we watched the Aurora Borealis on our first night! We had a lovely continental breakfast with delicious homemade waffles. The owners were away but a huge thank you to your daughter and neighbour who looked after us and made - The personal touches in the room and bathroom were beautiful. The location is stunning, sitting in the bedroom looking at snowcapped mountains made that part of the holiday. Also the little gallery attached sold really nice local art and objects and had a nice cafe attached. For the money we thought this place was amazing.

  Julia is a perfect "lady of the house". The house is simply fantastic...starting from the location, the animals, the kitchen and all the other spaces in the house and... last but not least, Julia's attention to details!!   We stayed at the Hotel Vestmannaeyjar for 3 days and it was absolutely amazing! First of all we had booked a basic double bedroom but we soon found out that the owners had given us one of the suites, as it was available. Moreover, the owners were lovely and helpful people! From day-1 both they gave us excellent hints about what to see, where to go... was die leute sagen » , what was opened in this season... They were also very kind to help us book a car. This hotel was WONDERFUL and really made our stay on the island ev - This is our second stay at Hotel Vestmannaeyjar in two years and we hope to go back again. The owner, Magnus, is such a nice person. He keeps us coming back along with the fact that we love Heimaey.
