  It is an interesting location, right across a mill stream from the old castle on the lake. The Eszterhazy Palace is around the corner, but it is not open and in need of much renovation. The hotel is right next to the lake, which has an excellent walking path. Boating is available, but we did not have time. There did not appear to be other restaurants close by, but we had a very nice dinne - Great location.We loved Tata. We were on the first floor and both of our rooms were large. Large room with balcony and fridge, very clean, comfortable bed, very friendly and helpful host (he had a map with suggested walking tour and made great restaurant recommendations). We were on a bike trip across Hungary and he let us park the bikes in the garage. Fast wifi, satellite TV with hundreds of channels. B - We enjoyed everything about our stay. Our host was most obliging and helpful. Our room was spacious, air-conditioned and well set-up. The WiFi worked well. There was a good selection of food at breakfast with the option of some cooked eggs, etc. The hotel was close to a small supermarket if you needed some supplies and it was 10-15 minutes walk from the basilica/castle area and some excellent restaurants which our host recommended. Parking was easy.

Bike riding great to get around faster.

  It rarely happens when I have no complaints about the hotel. This time everything was on the expected level, everything works,the hotel is clean, elegant, pleasant, every detail is considered.
