  Quiet, clean, great location and management. - Room was very clean and obviously recently painted etc, fresh. Friendlyservice. Quiet location, yet close to the beach, shops, restaurants etc.Plenty of parking space available. Minimarket accross the street.Swimming pool. Definitely worth for its price!

  The rooms were clean and the grounds were picturesque, with stone terraces and lovely landscaping. Lndlady doesn't speak much English but is well-meaning. The location was quiet and close to the trail to the Red Beach, yet very close to the shops, restaurant and main beach. Parking was on site. - Close to the beach

  The owners were very friendly and hospitable, the location was excellent ( near the beach, shops and restaurants etc but we were able to visit other beautiful beaches and historic Minoan sites with our rental car ( we were sorry when it was time to leave) - The manager (Georgia) did her best to make us comfortable and happy.   Matala has a wonderfull beach with clear water in a bay far from large tourist groups. It is a small village. Nikos Hotel is a small family hotel with private sitting groups with nice shadow outside at least second floor rooms. The apartments are nice, with lovely gardens. It was close to the beach. Matala is a lovely little town in a beautiful setting. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely return here.

  We had a quiet room and access to a very good pool. Simple furnishings and clean. Excellent stop-over for Phaestos and Agia Triada; however we would not have chosen to stay here for a long time as the town itself was busy and the beach tiny. However, it was worth a visit to see the famous caves
