  Magnificent view of caldera and sunsets, as described. Upon arrival were surprised to have a suite with fridge and cooking facilities instead of only a double room with extra cot as ordered. This was very beneficial as we saved money on breakfasts and enjoyed hospitality on our balcony.   Its all about the view so as you arrive and go thru the picture frame entrance its a wow feeling:) reception staff fabulous , friendly, helpful Great feel as Kavalari is built into the cliff. Excellent continental breakfast. Reasonable price. Right in the mix of things near the golden road. They had air conditioning.

  Everything was great... We stayed 8 days in Fira and the hotel is perfectly located in the very centre of the town, close to everything. We stayed in the honeymoon suite which was simply amazing... The caldera view from the private terrace is stunning, and there is no need to move from the room to enjoy the sunset. The view only is worth every pen... was die leute sagen » ny that you pay for the room, which is a nice room (especially the bathroom and the huge jacuzzi!!!) but definetely what makes it a 5 star hotel room - We stayed at the Honeymoon Suite (who says that you can only book those when you're on honeymoon ;), so the steps were not an issue (the lift goes almost all the way down to the suite). Other reasons to book this suite: Large terrace overlooking the caldera (probably one of the best terracces in Fira!), great big bed in its own little "cave" - and there is a whirlpool in the bathroom.   Nefeles Luxury Suites is very conveniently located on the rim of the Caldera, near the shops and the cable car. Since we stayed on the highest floor, we could just step out of our room, climb 3 stairs and there we were in the shopping district! The view from our balcony cannot be beaten.   The hotel is super! The hotel is very well located - a three-minute walk to the cable car and the stairs that lead to the old port. We had family room. Two floors, two bedrooms, large living room. And with a patio you could buy some wine or beer and sit outside as long as you wanted. Not to mention that this isn't a large hotel, so you really feel catered to.   A fantastic hotel runs by a fantastic family. We were there for 4 nights with 3 teenagers. The children slept in an apartment-loft while my husband and I were in the windmill: very romantic and lovely. The pool area is wonderful, with nice sunbeds.
