  Wir haben schon in Hotels genächtigt mit mehr Sternen, die schlechter waren! Wir hatten ein großes, helles Eckzimmer mit einem großen, eleganten Bad und konnten es gar nicht glauben, dass das Hotel Gutenberg wirklich nur zwei Sterne hat.   Absolut freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, zentral gelegen, tolles Ambiente (Altes kombiniert mit Modernem), Zimmer sauber, toll eingerichtet, mit kleinem Balkon, hell. Man kommt schnell überall hin, da das Hotel genau zwischen Bahnhof und Altstadt liegt, aber trotzdem nicht laut gelegen. Einfach super!   We had an enjoyable stay at the Chateau de Pourtales and do hope to return. Every morning we had a wonderful breakfast served in a cheerful room in the Chateau. Our accommodations were in an adjacent building - quiet, comfortable and clean. The Chateau is surrounded by a beautiful park which includes many interesting works of art. The rooms are in the chalet next to the chateau. Our room was very comfortable with a fan, which was very nice since it was about 30 degrees Cel. during the day. The bar is self service. For € 70 per night incl. breakfast, this hotel we certainly can recommend. At the entrance of the chateau gardens is the wonderful restaurant Jardins du Portales. We really enjoyed lunch, and two times diner for a very reasonable price!

Central location within walking distance to most local attractions. Room was spacious, very clean, and modern with plenty of storage space. It was very conveniently located right across from the train station, but was still very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful and spoke English well. The free wifi worked very well in the room. The location was about a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral and other city sites.

Walkable from the train station on a nice day; less than a 10 Euro taxi fee on departure when it was rain - This was a fantastic location just the other side of the river from the heart of Strasbourg (several of the best restaurants were nearby) the bells ringing, the breakfasts, the staff were the best! There's a cycle rental nearby which was 15euro for a whole week! We had a fabulous time, and in fact extended our stay a night with no problem.

  I would definitely stay here again. Very good value. Very comfortable beds, nice clean room/bathroom. Excellent breakfast available until 11, brilliant. Late checkout (midday). PC available for guests, free teas/coffee in small ground floor TV room/lounge. Very convenient for station, old town, restaurants... handy little bakers/cafe and supermark... was die leute sagen » et opposite. - This is a cozy Hotel. Reception staff was nice. It is super convenient to the main train station, 200 meters away, I stayed at the Ibis Styles, to catch an early train the next morning. There's another Ibis Hotel a couple of blocks away. I was glad I wasn't staying there. It was not going to be near as nice as this one.
