  Owner was very accommodating, friendly and made sure that Le Commanderie was well appointed with amenities, comfortable beds, WiFi, TV and stylish furnishings. Loved the room and bathroom layout. Location was very central in St Emilion and parking was beside the B&B. Would stay here again and recommend it! - We loved every moment of our stay at the Maison de la Commanderie in St. Emilion. Our host, Laurent, was wonderful. He provided a wonderful home cooked breakfast served family style. He called a cab service to bring us to the train. He definitely paid attention to every detail about his establishment. The room was spacious and state of the art (iPod speaker system, flat screen TV, fabulous shower with spray jets) with magnificent views of the town and countryside.

  I had been to St Emilion many years before and knew I wanted to return. It felt like a bit of a crap shoot when I booked this hotel (there are not a lot of choices within the town limits). What a pleasant surprise. The hotel is conveniently located near a main entrance to town so available parking is very close. The town is pretty quiet at night but even so, we could have our windows open and not hear people caro - We booked the 3rd floor Imperial Suite that was very well equipped with dishwasher, microwave, cooktop and all the necessary dishes etc for an extended stay. We were only there 2 days and really didn't need all those amenities, but if you wanted to spend several days wine tasting and seeing the area. It is the place to be. Walk out the front door and the entire town of Saint Emilion is at your feet. Bed and pillows were comfortable and everything was impeccably clean. Room came with petit dejen

  Our short stay at this hotel was perfect. Located at a very short distance from the town of St Emilion itself (practical to have a car), it is set in the middle of vineyards and is itself a classified building. The rooms themselves are excellent, beautiful, clean, each one individually decorated, and with excellent facilities (cupboar - We spent 2 nights in this chateau and were very happy with everything: the room was beautifully decorated and very clean with the big bathroom and a comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Natasha gave us excellent dinner recommendations, some of which came with the complementary glasses of wine. Loved our stay!

The staff were very helpful in moving our luggage on the second day, as we decided to stay another night but the room we were staying in was booked.

It's close enough to the town to bike or walk, but far enough away to relax in the peaceful vineyard atmosphere. The ground floor included an adjoining wine cellar where we eventually purchased some wonderful wine. - Staff was very sincere and attentive. Location is in the heart of St. Emilion.
