  We were given a warm welcome on our arrival at Au Nid des Thes. The hotel is situated on a pedestrian street in the small town and has easy access to shops and restaurants. There is no special carpark but parking can be found easily nearby. We were in the "Caramel" room on the second floor. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price. The - The location in the centre of Brantome meant easy access to the wonderful canals, abbeye, shops and restaurants. Breakfast was a simple but very well done Continental with homemade preserves. Sandrine was very helpful and the room was large, well equipped and very clean. Excellent all round and we would stay there again.

  Excellent value accommodation. Facilities good. Peaceful and quiet countryside location. Visitors would need to have access to a car/transport to stay there. We stayed for 1 week and quickly felt at home. I recommend this accommodation if you are prepared to drive to restaurants etc. There are few facilities within walking distance.   Well Pascal made it for us. He was such a nice guy and great company, not that he intruded at all. We learned more about French culture and social life from Pascal than any guide book. Laurence, his wife, is just lovely too but we saw more of Pascal so that is why we are raving about him. Their place is supurb. Bergerac is a great place and a great base - We stayed for one night here on our way home from a holiday at this charming b&b and wish it was for longer. The room was enormous and restored to a very high level, the bed especially comfortable and shower fantastic. The whole house was full of character, peaceful and very conveniently located for the city centre. We were lucky to be there around the Bastille Day celebrations and enjoyed the village fireworks and entertainments.
