Was die Leute sagen

Negresco is truly a five star hotel. At 100 years old, it hasn't missed a beat. It combines lovely antiques with spectacular contemporary art. It is a visual candy store. I just wish I had spent the time to walk the halls on every floor. Each one has a different theme! Ours had cats and dogs. The service is impeccable: both very professional and very friendly. For example, Eric at the Concierge Desk is absolutely the best. We were staying for another 6 weeks after our week at Negrsco and Eric w.
alle bewertungen Upon arrival, which was very late at night we were shown to our room which only had twin beds. At once the receptionist apologised and asked us to wait in the room for a few minutes, while he went away to see if he could locate for us a double room. Upon his return he showed us to a magnificent Art Deco decorated double, which also included a glittery silver bath, plus we had a fantastic view of the Mediterranean. The staff were attentive and the surroundings depicted perfectly the stately eleg. Beautiful hotel. It’s like an interesting museum and at the same time a well-run luxury hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much and consider going back for the Christmas period. We liked the view from our room – both the garden of the Masena museum and the sea. We always visit the bar when we are in Nice even when we don’t stay at the hotel. It is a fantastic room with a good atmosphere. Thank you to a professional staff for a good stay.. We stayed here having admired the outside of the hotel when we came to Nice before, and then we saw a travel programme which featured the inside and it didn't disappoint in terms of being a fabulous place to stay and very unique. The staff were all really friendly and helpful and the location is so close to the centre of the town. Although it is expensive, you know that when you book it, but it is really worth it. A beautiful hotel which is a tourist attraction in Nice and which was also celebrating its 100th anniversary. We were upgraded to the Maginuet suite which was on the sea front and basically was the icing on the cake. Staff were very polite and room service was prompt and good. We were not charged for parking our car. I would definitely recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a memorable holiday in Nice. This is my third stay at this hotel and the high standards remain.I travelled with my adult daughter who enjoyed the private beach Neptune facilities nearby and the deal the hotel provided. This hotel is an experience not to be missed art wise but also comfortable and relaxing. We were able to have a part garden and sea view room and the views were stunning...what memories . Impressive art collection & decors in every floor. Hallways are luxurious. Rooms are spacious and even one with partial sea view was impressive enough. There is a champagne bar downstairs with DJs playing late evenings adding contemporary vibe for the classical hotel. There is a soul in this palace building. Our Room was beautiful with garden and partial sea view....it was more than we excpected as there was an excellent view of the sea, garden and city. We had a small balcony which was an added bonus. The artwork and design of the hotel was amazing, and the location very very good! room service was terrific!. I was impressed by the beauty of the lobby (registered as an historical monument), the bar, the staircases and the Versailles salon. The staff is helpful, the bedrooms are large and upon our arrival, we were upgraded from a side room with a half-sea view to a front-sea view. Wonderful!. It was a wonderful treat at the end of our two week trip to Europe. When we first visited, I assumed it was out of our budget and suprised to learn that it was very reasonable. Comparable in price to our 2 and 3 star rooms in Paris. It is my favorite hotel ever!!. The history of the hotel (1913), a landmark in Nice. The list of amazing guests who had stayed there. The original art work and antiques. The restaurants. The size of rooms and bathrooms. The bar is beautiful and cozy. The employees friendly and professional. Fabulous hotel. Like staying in an art gallery. Might never go back - but will never forget the experience. If you can afford it do not hesitate. A million times better than the other so called five star establishments in Nice charging just as much or even more!. - The best word to describe the hotel would be "elegance". - The decoration of the hotel is really nice. You can easily feel that historic and elegant atmosphere. - The staff is really helpfull and kind. - The view is really nice if you stay in a sea view room. The hotel staff is excellent. Perfectly on top of their game. The rooms are lovely, and the location cannot be beat. It is the top hotel in Nice and is still privately owned. I have stayed here before and I will certainly stay here again. the beautiful art and all decorations. We reconised the owner and said bonjour which we liked as it is so nice that the hotel is privately owned. We think Madam Jeanne has done and is continuing to operate a wonderful establishment. Our thanks. Its a national treasure in France. Like the Ritz or the George v in Paris, but more beautiful and more affordable. It is also in the middle of the Promenade des Anglais in Nice 100yds from the beach. It is full of history and quirky art. Staff are excellent, very helpful. Rooms very comfortable. This is not a super modern hotel, so thankfully it has loads of character. The art collection throughout the hotel is fabulous. Really worth staying there. Very central. Hotel is lovely as always. Staff is friendly and very helpful. We stayed in a handicap room for some reason and I can only imagine that a handicapped guest would find the room very accommodating. We are not handicapped. i loved the fabulous art and antique collection dotted around the hotel. Loved the eclectic style throughout, very different and unique hotel experience. Fantastic views from sea facing suite. Terrific beds. Excellent hotel. This is a real masterpiece. If you expect a pool or sauna then not for you (its not an ibis) fantastic rooms and staff and the lounge areas are outstanding. Right on the beach. An old classic. An historic reminder of the Belle Epoch era. A visit to the Musee Massena next door gives you a wonderful perspective on the Hotel and the Promenade Anglais. Fantastic location, friendly and attentive staff, beautiful design, off the charts sea views. The room décor was outstanding. Well worth the price--an outstanding hotel. Everything!!! Courtesy and high standard staff. Very polite and ready to help. A magnificent experiences that I will do again! Gorgeous breakfast, amazing private beach. I liked that it was unspoiled. Looked much the same as I remember it from 1957. Unlike Monte Carlo which to me has been spoiled ad now looks more like Miami Beach. Polite and helpful staff Superb furnishings and art and culture on every floor. Loved the sea views. Beds and sheets and bath toileteries great. Late check out hood. The artwork and decor. It really is worth staying here for one night to experience it. Helpful staff. Reception staff particularly helpful and friendly. The view. Wonderful hotel. Everything is just perfect. Breakfast in the room with a view to the Bay of Angels is unforgettable. Service is even beyond what you could expect. Beautiful old building with lovely public areas. Staff quickly rectified shower cleaning up for us and giving us the use of a room with a separate shower . This hotel is very special and an icon of the area. It is handy to everything and the staff were wonderfully helpful. I would certainly stay here again. It was one of the most luxurious hotel we have ever stayed at and the off-season prices were incredibly good value. It is an experience worth repeating. This was a fabulous hotel, the staff were 1st class, our room was enormous, with dressing room, sofa and huge bath room just excellent. The atmosphere, the grandeur, the perfume of another era, from the beginning of the previous century, the fantastic view on the sea.. Very beautiful hotel-museum! Nice view from the window on a garden and the sea, spacious and convenient room, excellent breakfast!. You live in a museum :) excellent service, didn't smell like old stuff as per expectations. Beautiful place must stay in Nice. Everything about the design and decor is exquisite and the rooms well appointed. Old fashioned (in the best way) luxury. everything but more especially the extraordinary art collection that you can admire at each moment of your stay. The restaurant Versailles is amazing! Staff were extremely helpful even though I cannot speak a word of French. The atmosphere, which was friendly and unconventional (!), and the whole "scene", which was very personal. The building and furniture are very vintage but comfortable and clean. The history is very interesting.... Everything was perfect, the service, fabulous decor, fantastic location, top quality bar and restaurants. The hotel was exellent in all repect. I would like to stay again in the future. it is best hotel for me. Standard room are all you need. Simply beautiful. Rooms can be connected which suited our family of 6. The "individuality" of the hotel - a real personal feeing about it. Different from all other hotels. Rooms are fantastic! Bed is comfortable. View is really great when you take the see-side room. This hotel is really an art piece and dining at Le Chantecler was an unforgettable experience. Amazing old building. Unusual and fantastic display of art and various museum like displays. My room was gorgeous and I loved walking the art gallery halls to my room - quite stunning. I liked the theme of the hotel and decoration of the room, it's soooo French love it!!!. The lobby and foyers on each floor were like a museum. A beautiful piece of history. The view from my room, the friendliness of the staff and langoustines for lunch !. Everything was perfect. Everything was perfect even down to the original light switches and material wall coverings. We missed the piano music in the bar. A tea station in the rooms would be nice. Breakfast is costly and bar prices . In city like Nice (where summer is very hot), hotel pool would be a nice supplement, although there is a beach club at the doorsteps, just take proper footwear for swimming into sea because beach has no sand, but shingles. The bar service was a little slow, but very expensive...La Rotunde Brasserie was generally good but one meal of Ravioli was almost inedible... The facilities are somehow a bit outdated compared to some other five star hotels around the world. However, with these old features in perfect condition, the Negresco has an extraordinary charm of "belle epoque". The electrical outlets were not up to par. No tea or coffee in the room. This might be a Brittish thing. Free bottled water on first night not repeated on next four! Why do some hotels think this is acceptable? Better if they didn't bother on the first night!. - There is no free access to private beach. Although you accept to pay a premium to stay such a hotel because of such advantages you also need to pay extra for the beach access. The pillows are too soft for my taste. We did call reception and ask for more firm pillows but they said they really only have one kind. A gentleman from reception promptly brought me different pillows anyway just to see if they were more to my liking. Same pillows, but I appreciated the effort. nothing. I liked everything, absolutely everything. Would go to live there if I could afford €300 a night. You have to pay to use the private beach. Pity of a bit they charge for this. The lights in the room were beyond functional. They were so high tech that we were always confused about whether we would actually get the lights on, if then, the lights would be at the brightest, and finally if they would stay on until we turned them off. Very irritating, but, of course very high tech!. Breakfast is a bit pricey at 30e but there are plenty of nice places down the road. Not stop moanings from Russians with new money complaining. They dont seem to get the hotel at all or the decor. The bathrooms need updating. Ours was in need of refurbishment and updating. The breakfast was over priced. The mattress was very hard, and the split mattress of their king bed can be uncomfortable if you wind up sleeping in the crack between the mattresses. Mini bar bit over expensive. I didn't like that I had to get back to Munich. Would have liked to stay longer. Hair dryer not very good. Electrics in particular for the lighting was in need of renewal in our room. Only a small thing and it didn't affect our stay at all. Shower over bath that wet the whole bathroom and leaked out onto carpet. No tea or coffee facilites in room. The room looked worn out. The personnel of hotel could be more precautionary. No pool. Gin and tonics at 22euros a bit steep. nothing really but maybe the price for breakfast is a little bit excessive. Nothing!. Breakfast not included and expensive. Value breakfast can be had in many restaurants close by. Overcharged at check out for mini bar items not taken. The breakfast for 30 euro is not really the greatest one. Better to go outside. If you abstract from all the beauty, you start noticing some things that are not perfect in terms of comfort: the water temperature in the shower was alternating a lot, the pillows were smelly... But it's not a big deal. The double bed is not really double. It is two single beds pushed together. This is a general French and continental problem. Nothing. The bed was very old and uncomfortable.
