The staff is exceptional and very willing to help in any way. We used Avignon as our base to travel all around Provence and felt we were returning to a quiet home estate at the end of each day. The bed was the best we stayed when in France (Paris, Avignon and Nice), very clean and roomy enough (think this is Europe). The rooms are huge by European standards and well appointed. We will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast is served in a very nice room with fresh fruit and pastries, yoghurt, juice, hot drinks. Breakfast was good, the fruit bread was - The owner, Mairie, was wonderful - came out to lead our car in after we had gotten hopelessly lost in Avignon's narrow, confusing streets. She was helpful in countless ways and was a gracious host. Our breakfasts were more than we expected: the usual coffee, juice and croissants, and cheeses, figs from her garden, jams and yogurt. We'd head back again in an instant!
