  We were welcomed with a wine sample from the domaine which is always a good way to begin! The wines here are fabulous and the location in Alsace was perfect for exploring the area. Our room was on the bottom floor and was bright, clean, and comfortable. It was set up to be handicap accessible and appeared to be thoughfully designed for that.   The Abre Vert was authentic and although in an older traditional property the renovations had been completed to a very high standard. The restaurant had a wonderful ambience and the food was superb.   Very helpful reception staff who spoke English and appreciated my attempts to speak in French. Comfortable room. Good simple breakfast. You can park by the hotel to unload and then drive a short distance to the public car park near the Gendarmerie. For ten Euros returnable deposit you can borrow a free parking card. Also, the late check-in process was simple - the hotel provided us with a code to get in and the keys were waiting for us just inside.

Clean, well decorated, modern and tasteful in the room, but the hotel is an old abby. Best to stay here and eat at Swendi as the abby doesnt offer evening meals unfortunately.
