Where to start... This was like dropping into a piece of paradise.
Located 5km from the city of Carcassonne, so we needed a car to get
there but well worth the drive! Lovely chateau, staff, amenities and
food. The staff was very helpful in giving us directions. Allowed me to
practice my French by not directly converting to English (until I

Stayed for 2 nights so we could explore the medieval city which is a short drive away. This is certainly worth a visit. The Chateau is a fabulous old building with bags of character although worn in parts. Room was adequate with view over the grounds. Restaurant is closed Monday evenings so we ate in town. We booked to eat on the Tuesday evening and had set menu which included bottle of wine. Meal and wine was ok. Busy restaurant so might be wise to book in advance.

The hotel staff was very nice and helpful. Room was nice and clean and
the housekeeping was coming every day. In the room there was also tea
and coffee facilities, which was very nice. I had a breakfast in the
morning and food was very good - good selection of hot and cold food. As

Easy to find, superb reception staff who are multi lingual. Secure parking and proximity to retail and service facilities. Direct access onto motorway, just so easy and efficient for the traveller or visitor.

We love to stay in this apartment as the room is spacious with many kitchen equipments (except water boiler). My dad could take care of himself with cooking tools while my mom and I were not around. It is very convenient for travellers who like to focus on old historic city as it is only some minutes away but make sure you need to be fit to climb

Space. It was pretty big the apartment for my famility to stay (couple + 1yr old baby + 3 yrs. old child).
The location was perfect. Very close to the castle.
The access is very good to go walking. Not recomended to go to the castle with the baby trolley but this has nothing to do with the hotel/appartment.
Very very good price/quality ratio.
