  We had a downstairs room which had a balcony overlooking the river (there is also a balcony upstairs). The room wasn't modern but it was comfortable, functional and clean. Wifi worked well.   We liked the accommodation, the room was big, with nice new furniture, with balcony and it was a very quite place even though just few minutes walk from historical center of Cesky Krumlov. We will come again for s - Pension Pod Skalkou is located just outside the old town, a five minute walk has you in amongst this gorgeous wee town. The pension is new, clean, very well, appointed, a good breakfast selection is offered and it is staffed by a wonderfully friendly and helpful family. It has to be recommended 100%. Cesky Krumlov is very lucky to have accommodation such as Pension Pod Skalkou available for visitors.

  A very charming guesthouse with lots of character and in a perfect location - a 5 minute walk from the main bus terminal, a 1 min walk from the bus stop from the train station, 1 min walk to the best panoramic view of the old town and a 5 min walk to the old town square. The buffet breakfast was very generous with the selection,staff was very nice and it's possible to park up to 3 cars in front of the pension, so it is convenient to have you car parked right on the spot as most places in Krumlov do not have parking and you have to walk to your hotel with your luggage.

We had the 4 first floor rooms in the old house, wow, every room was full of vintage items and antiquities of all sorts, access to the garden too which would have been lovely if the weather had been kinder. The car park and security was the reason we picked this hotel and they were very security conscious. We wish we - The owner, Vincent, was there to help us check in and show us the layout. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Nice beds and showers. The breakfast was generous with great fruits and local pastries. And he has on-site ample parking that was free. And best of all the location - it is just outside the main entrance to the city. Helps to have a gps, but it could not find the street number for some reason. I highly recommend this hotel.

  The location was very convenient for visiting the castle and old town. The staff were friendly and called a taxi for us and recommended a very good restaurant.   I've stayed at this property 2 previous times before starting in 2001. The location and type of "castle b & B" you can't beat it. It's right next to the great historic town brewery. Nice quiet location away from the main roads so you can get a nice night sleep.   This is the perfect place to stay for a visit in cesky krumlov. The rooms are located above a cute antique store that sells many interesting items. The owner is very friendly and stayed up to wait for us to check in at 10pm. He also provided us with useful information on the sites to visit and the exchange office with the best rates.   This is a wonderful hotel located in the heart of the city, right off the pedestrian zone. With that said, do not attempt to the front door. Turn into a parking area through the "Red Gate" and you will find stairs in the far left corner leading to the hotel. Parking is about 200m from the hotel because of the hotels great location. They helped us out with restaurant tips and events currently happening in town. Our room was clean and comfortable, breakfast was very good, with a variety of choices. We plan to return with our son and will definitely stay again at Penzion Onyx.
