  Amazing hotel, beautifully if not always practically designed. The staff were generally extremely friendly and helpful. The new pool area and cafe are lovely. Lana at the front desk was delightful and enjoyed meeting the head chef that grew up in Canada(woohoo Canadian Maple Syrup on the menu) Ate in L Restaurant twice and would go back again.   Charm to the nth degree! Beautiful old style architecture and furnishings in a magical seaside town. Five star staff who did everything to accommodate our needs. We had requested, and received, a top floor room where we were serenaded by seagulls in the morning as we purposely left the wind - Perfect location to explore Rovinj and Istrian peninsula. The staff was remarkable-special thanks to Martina, Vlatka, Mateo, and Marina. From suggestions to where to go, to making dinner reservations, to parking and retrieving our car, and even a surprise birthday bottle of wine-they did it all. Old town Rovinj is truly a gem. Travelers should not miss a day in the medieval hill towns, especially Motovun, Draguc, and Groznjan.
