  This was an excellent stay. When our flight was delayed and re-routed Tony stayed up and met us at 1:30 am at the bus station. The apartment was perfect and centrally located. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely. Tony and Jessica were the consummate hosts and strived to make our stay comfortable and made us feel completely at home. I can say with great pleasure that Villa Rustica is an outstanding hotel with 6 star (out of 5) service. Right from the start they upgraded our room and brought us fresh fruit and drinks - Absolutely marvellous staff! Especially Zdravka(?)! We really loved staying at Villa Rustica: it was off-season so we got a level-up room with no extra charge, first thing when we got there we were offered refreshments, the first night we had a local-style dinner on-the-house! Breakfasts were huge, and plenty, and tasty.   I loved Apartments Familia for many reasons. The #1 reason were the owners Ankica and her husband. They picked us up at the bus station and helped us with our large suitcases - very hospitable and fun! Ankica was a great help to us by getting all the information on the ferries to the islands...greatly appreciated!   We were a group of mature aged female friends and from the moment we arrived in Split, Michelle was there waiting for us at the bus stop with a friendly smile and walked us to the nearby apartments.   We had a great 2 night stay in July 2013. Sanyin the landlord, who lives upstairs from the apartment, provided great service from the time he picked us up at the bus station. He says he does not always provide pickups, but we were glad he did, even though our bus was a little later than expected. He was so friendly, and even a little like a father to us (we were two young women - We can't speak highly enough of the Apartments San and recommend it to anyone seeking top quality and spacious apartment accommodation. The hosts provide a cheery welcome and want guests to enjoy their beloved Split - nothing is too much trouble for them. They have gone out of their way to ensure guests enjoy all the comforts (and appliances) of home, with even a few complimentary drinks in the fridge.   The view from our balcony on the front top floor (2nd floor) was excellent with views of the marina and Trogir old town. And was a short walk to the old town but far enough away to be quiet in the evening. Nadia was extremely welcoming and amenable and certainly added to the enjoyment of our stay. The view from the balcony was stunning and it was just overall the best experience we had with accomodation in Croatia. We will definitely return.
