  Motovun is the Queen of Istrian inland towns - Villa Borgo is located on the edge of the old town with stunning views form a shared balcony facing the setting sun. Slavin was helpful & informative about Motovun and the surrounding area - and full of apologies for restrictions on parking due to the new Mayor. The room was clean, the water hot, ... was die leute sagen » and the bed comfortable. Breakfast buffet included the usual suspects - with the addition of the nicest dark (rye?) bread we encountered on our travel - I loved it all: Motovun as one of the most beautiful medieval cities I've seen in my life, if not the most beautiful, the host Slaven who's offering his finest grappa all the time (go for 'figue' if he's got some), the other hostess Jana, the hotel/guesthouse itself located at the best location in Motovun, the terrace which guests can sit on in the sun enjoying the view of the surrounding hills, of the sun setting and going down. Too much to mention for the two days we've stayed...
