  Staff are very friendly, they gave enough information for us to do city sightseeing by our self. Quick Check in and check out process. Now, they have lift to help you with your luggage :). Close to Elephant Trunk Hill (just few minutes walk), some local restaurant, night market, local grocerie - This hotel is a in a great location next to the lakes and the night market. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Its like a boutique hotel and the rooms and layout are a nice change to the typical big hotel in china. They can do laundry for you at a good price which was great to have. Breakfast is good and at a fair price for a hotel, with a very nice view.

  Very nice hotel and located on the river- we payed extra in order to get the executive rooms and the access to the Corporate lounge at the top floor which includes free snacks and drinks.   I arrived late at night and the staff were very friendly and spoke good English. They gave me great tips and organised good activities for me, when I left I forgot to settle a food bill. Roy and Angel instead of asking me to come all the way back managed to let me pay at my next destination and they would charge that hotel. The rooms are nice, the beds confortable, the staff is very helpful and friendly, the restaurant is convenient and the location is perfect. They even offer a cup of tea at the bar with a coupon, its a much better idea to taste a cup of local tea rather than some beer usually offered at many backpackers hostels.

  Very well run hostel. Rooms very clean but basic. Good value for the price, we wanted a cheap clean, comfortable room for a quick overnight stay in Guilin and the Backstreet Backpackers provided just that. Near to the principal touristic points in Guilin, helping us to make most of tours by walking. And around the hostel there are lots of stores, supermarket, restaurants, bus station, making your trip very convenient. On the reception area, lots of people enjoy together playing cards, reading books, magazines, watching movies, navigating on internet, talking each other, etc, it's a really nice atmosphere!

  This is basically a backpackers hostel, and although I wouldn't consider myself to be in this particular demographic, it seemd to tick all the right boxes. The location was fine, with good access to restaurants, tours etc. Facilities were generally clean and tidy, wifi ok, plus pretty good spoken English by the front office staff. It was very cheap so we weren't expecting too much. However, we had a lovely spacious room with a river view. The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. The food was delicious. We couldnt have asked for more. We really enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend it. It was very close to the night market and the bus station.
