Fabulous location near Tiananmen, Forbidden City, and Wangfujing shopping and markets. The accommodation is basic but the price is right. The staff are friendly. I took one of the hostel's tours to the great wall, it was fabulous. The staff recommended a great restaurant down the road that served delicious duck! You must eat Beijing duck!. I like that it was so strategically located. A few minutes walk to Tiananmen Plaza, Forbidden City, Subway, Shopping & Food Street. John, one of the reception staff was especially helpful and knowledgeable on what Subway Lines to take, etc.
alle bewertungen » Very close to Forbidden City and nice surroundings. The bed is really comfortable and top quality sheets. The staff speaks good english and is amazingly helpful. Overall, a very nice, clean and comfortable hostel. Food is good and fairly priced. Good facilities (good wifi connection, cold and hot water dispenser, free to leave baggage before check-in and after check-out), friendly staff, good location. Excellent location walking distance to Tiananman Square and Forbidden City. Staff was very accommodating and friendly and spoke English well. English speaking, helpful staff. Near to ever where I need to see. the location is superb. I didn't like that the water pressure is rather low and bathing & flushing the toilets are affected. I also didn't like that I could smell the sewage from the hole in the bathroom, some of the time. The air conditioning didn't work very well in my room, the nights were very hot. There are only chinese tv channel on tv, no international channel. Showers, could be better. But still, possible to use. No kitchen and no heater. I had breakfast at their restaurant and the scrambled eggs were runny on the inside and the bacon was not cooked - only warmed up. The staff and others Smoke on the front steps and the smoke comes into the common area. If you are using the computer, the smoke is as bad as if they were smoking next to you. You can't bring outside drinks or food into the restaurant, which is the only place to sit down and eat. Bad shower and smelly bathroom. Nothing. Not so much showers/toilets (only 2!) to be shared by all the dorms. Also bathrooms were not so clean. Beds were hard and quite uncomfortable. Dirty towel, shower is not conveniently located. No soundproof on walls. No security lock in room; no cell phone reception in room. room is very small. blankets are very dirty. toilet is very small.
