  After booking and receiving confirmation, we finally arrived in the evening hours of July 31, 2013. Initially, we were made aware, that the hotel was fully booked out, but the friendly hotel staff was searching for an alternative for one night. This alternative turned out to be an extraordinary experience in one of the Middle Beach Lodges. For the remainder of our stay, the extremely friendly mana - The hotel is well located, close to Tofino, but on the park side of it. A handy feature is that the hotel includes boat tours at a discount for whale-watching and to the hot springs, which was advantageously priced for customers. The room itself was more than a room, but really a suite, equipped with a king-sized bed. There was a stove, and a fridge, and a little porch where one could eat.   This was an older hotel but it was clean, well maintained, and had a charm about it. The location was wonderful.....could walk any where. The staff was wonderful. Heart describes them best. The location is unbeatable in my opinion, right in the little town of Tofino, close to the water. Grocery store, bakery, gallery, wharf, nice restaurant, all within a block. A Saturday public market two blocks away. Amazing. There is a lounge area for preparing food which allows guests to interact if desired and feel connected to the others in the hotel. Location is unbeatable for what we wanted!

  The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. My room ( a deluxe king) was beautiful and spacious, with views into the forest. After a hard day of surf lessons, I had a wonderful sleep on the very firm bed. - We enjoyed our 3 nights. It is spacious and the beds were comfortable and it sure is a budget friendly.   Located on the edge of the Pacific Ocean, this Lodge is beautifully appointed. One feels both close to nature, while also having luxurious accommodations.
