  Quebec is such a lovely old city, and staying in this charming B&B complemented the old-world atmosphere perfectly! Stepping inside the hotel, and on into the room, is like taking a step back in time, only with all modern-day comforts provided. Filled with Victoriana. Room was quite small with small bathroom, t.v., etc. But furnishings really interesting. Everything spotlessly clean and room comfortable. Very good and ample continental breakfast. Location very good for Dufferin Terrace, rue St. Louis and shops, restaurants, etc. They recommended Cafe de la Paix, 5 minutes' walk, very good. Language no problem. Parking is offsite, 2-minute walk away.

Our nights were co - Le Chateau de Pierre is a charming small hotel in the center of Old Town. It is in walking distance of great restaurants and the Citadel and museums. The room in the hotel was comfortable and the owner was a gracious hostess. Min was especially helpful in suggesting places to eat and things to do. Breakfast was included and fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, and a variety of beverages were offered. She even called a taxi for us at 4:30 in the morning. I would highly recommend this hotel.

She makes the breakfasts herself and does a fantastic job. Her English is very limited and you definitely need to speak at least a little French but it's good fun!   The location of this charming, boutique hotel is excellent. On a quiet street, but steps away from the Frontenac and promenade. We enjoyed several waterfront picnics in the Jardin immediately across the street. The staff was wonderful and went out of their way to make us comfortable. I have visited Quebec City many times and this was definitely the best location that I have stayed.   The staff were very helpful with any number of things; aiding with parking a vehicle, expediting check-in/check-out procedures, and recommending great restaurants and attractions in the area. The hotel lobby and common areas were very tastefully decorated and the rooms were comfortable, although a bit small and some areas seemed a bit dingy. The loc - We got one of the 5th floor rooms, which meant it was really quiet. It also meant 5 flights of narrow stairs. Of course, since it's a historical building (like much of Quebec City) building codes prevent the addition of elevators, so this is par for the course. Beautifully reno'd room and bathroom, though the ceiling was a bit low due to the angle of the roof. Close to lots of nearby shopping and restaurants in the old city (and the lower old city, too, which was a bit cheaper).
