I loved the old atmosphere...hotel is old, but quaint. Spacious rooms and excellent food in the restaurant. Although my husband describes it as decayed, he liked it...it has character...slanted floors and musty smell in hallway...rooms breezy and clean.
Good location on the waterfront close to water taxi, cruise ship dock
and walking distance to museum, downtown restaurants and shops. Good
wifi in room. Restaurant reasonably priced and food good.alle bewertungen »
Very large bedroom and sitting area.
If you were very fussy, you wouldn't like it due to its age. It was a beautiful plantation looking mansion in its time, but it is old. I would stay there again...which we did on our return trip. Rooms clean, but hallways a little dusty.
This is an old colonial-era hotel that is pretty run-down in its public
areas. Really, the hallway floors are sagging and you feel as if
you're walking through a fun house! But the rooms are fairly
comfortable. If you want a swankier hotel, the Radisson is right next
door (but you'll pay for it!). Truly, I don't recommend Belize
City as a destination for more than a day or two. It's really
scruffy and, except when the cruise ships are in, it's dead, with
very little to interest a traveler.
Very tired facility. Need to replace old worn out shag and upgrade bathroom, etc.
