  An elegant, spacious and friendly hotel a matter of a few minutes' walk from the main sights of Ieper - the Menin Gate, Cloth Hall, for example. Extremely interested and helpful staff, smiling and obliging in the "nothing's too much trouble" sense. Altogether it was a wonderf - The staff were exceptionally knowledgable, pleased to help with grace and delight. The hotel is an obviously interesting old building which had been wonderfully kept, clean comfortable and cool in the heat, the high ceilings were a boon. Breakfast was delicious constant fresh supplies were brought in for me the best- great coffee! We had rooms facing the road and were surprised that there was no noise issue to disturb us. Great value.

  Ideale Lage, nahe am Marktplatz. Ideales Hotel, um die Stadt Ieper/Ypern zu erkunden. Dank der Tiefgarage ist das Hotel aber auch gut geeignet, um Flandern mit dem Auto zu erfahren, (meistens) ohne sich abends Parkplatzsorgen machen zu müssen (an einem Abend haben wir den letzten Tiefgaragenplatz bekommen, die Gäste nach uns gingen dann leer aus...... was die leute sagen » ) - Rooms were very comfortable and well furnished. Food was excellant quality, staff helpful and friendly. The hotel as a whole was very clean and centrally located for the Menin gate, Grote Market and of course for visiting the many WW1 cemetaries. Ideal for a disabled traveller. - Friendliness of staff. The location in Ieper made it so easy to get around the town centre and Menin Gate on foot during the day and especially the Last Post Ceremony each evening.

  This hotel and the proprietor are both absolutely charming. Carinne made us feel as though we were being welcomed into her own home. On arrival she gave us coffee and biscuits and a very helpful explanation of what Ieper had to offer. Our room was private, very quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast which Carinne provides is extensive and includes homebaked bread and pate and a selection of cooke - I can not think of anything we didn't like. Carine , one of the owners is simply a very lovely person. She made us tea as soon as we arrived and spent ages chatting with her. Her chocolate cakes were delicious. Then she showed us to our room - the 'wild' one. I had seen the photos of it on the web site but they didn't do it justice. As soon as Carine left, having shown us how to work everything, we were straight into the bath!!. The snacks and the free mini bar were very welcome. The breakfast

  Marc and Sonja are a very friendly couple and nothing is too much trouble to make your stay enjoyable. We had a problem with our car during our stay and they helped us tremendously - making phone calls to garages, driving us to collect the car and lending us bikes to use.   Lovely welcome from a host who could not have been more accommodating. Thanks to Benoit we were able to watch the Last Post ceremony from very close quarters. His help was very much appreciated. The apartment has unbelievable views of the Menin Gate. We were able to gaze out at it from sunrise to sunset. The top (two) floors apartment is beautifully deco - We stayed at Menin Gate House for 4 nights and could not believe how amazing this place is, Benny meet us on the first night and gave us prime position during the Menin Gate service and it was something we will never forget. We ddid nearly all of the battlefields and memorials and they are all so handy from this location. The rooms are decorated in honour of our troops that paid the ultimate sacrifice and its people like Benny that will never let anyone forget. I can highly recommend this place
