  We loved our time at Alice's cottages!!! From the moment we arrived we were greeted with the warmest hospitality and service!! We adored the decor, care and attention to detail in regards to all aspects of the cottages and will now only stay here when we visit Launceston!!   this hotel was in a great location, close enough to walk to city centre, yet far enough away from city noise. Very clean rooms. Receptionist kindly gave us a key to put our bags in room and freshen up even though our room was not quite ready. - The breakfasts were excellent. I also found the food in the restaurant of an unusually high standard and a perfect and warming way to end my day after intense and pressured days to achieve things necessary to set up my new life in Tasmania before I was due to return to the mainland. Th... was die leute sagen » ey helped me find local supermarkets, white goods stores, furniture etc. They were friendly and fun. - The room I was allotted was a pleasant surprise in that it was spacious, recently updated, tidy, clean and had a flat panel TV / DVD and all the usual appliances. The hot water was nearly instant. There was a separate area for relaxing / having breakfast. The poached eggs & bacon I had was better that most an very well presented. Parking was not a problem. I'm told by locals that the onsight restaurant is well regarded.
