  I liked that the Metropole is in the middle of town and is close to the railway station for those without a car. I liked the historic building with its lovely old, but well maintained structures, including the walkway from the back carpark to reception. It is a delight walking through the area with its ferns, goldfish, etc. - Location was great... was die leute sagen » great. Close to all site seeing and also cheap great food and shops. Hotel was old school setting as well as modern which was great. I will be staying again later this year and will recommend this hotel to everyone going to the blue mountains.

  My husband and I got married at Yester Grange with our reception at Mountain Heritage on the 30 October. We had about 60 guests and many said it was a surreal experience because the view was so amazing. The hotel staff, Dean especially, ensured that the whole event went off so smoothly. We were so well looked after, the food was fantastic, the wine great, the rooms clean. Even the older Greek relatives - Loved the prepared fire-place, view fantastic from both our room and the dining room. Staff were helpful (and lovely to our 4 year old), and it was only a short walk to the shops, and bus to explore the area. Kept the historical feel but it's been well maintained...and modernised with fast efficient air-con etc. We have already recommended this place to our friends, and will be back!

  The location was perfect. 3 Sisters and Aboriginal Culture Centre a short walk away, as is a fish and chip shop and a winning little restaurant "Pins on Lurline". The bus stop is right outside the side entrance, and the $50 explorer bus pass took us to all the sights, including city buses to farther afield, plus discounts on local attractions! Breakfast supplement, bu - The hotel was in easy walking distance of the Three Sisters which was ideal as car parking charges there can be quite expensive. An ideal location for exploring the Blue mountains. We were there when the forest fires were raging but everything was under control. There were many fire fighters staying at the hotel and loads of fire trucks parked around the streets so we felt quite safe. Added to the excitement really.

  We stayed only 2 nights at 3 Explorers and had a really relaxing comfortable stopover, The room was well above our expectations, well equiped and furnished with excellent taste. The staff were great, friendly and able to give good acurate and uptodate information on local attractions. We enjoyed staying at 3 Explorers and would stay again Our dayt... was die leute sagen » ime highlight was our trip to the Scenic Skyway etc where we spent a whole day for a reasonable dollar value - Very nice attention, the host was really helpful with everything we needed, and he was always worried about giving us the maximum comfort. The beds where very big, the room was completely well equipped with all kitchen staffs, and the location was very good. The wifi access was very good and the place clean. Also the rooms where well acclimated. I reallyrecomend it.

We loved the furniture, the fireplaces, pool table and the bar. We enjoyed a drink there before heading out to dinner. The location is ideal, beside the RSL and a quick walk to the centre of town.

  So friendly. my first time at a backpackers and it will certainly not be my last. staff were friendly and helpful. it was such a relaxed atmosphere that I wish I had got to stay longer. it's in a great location and has free wifi , laundry service, kitchen facilities.   The staff there were so accommodating, we felt as though we were staying with their family (in a good way)! The rooms were recently renovated and were fresh and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the heating blankets were such a welcome treat for the chilly winter's nights. Breakfast was fabulous and very affordable. The woman that we dealt with was so friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious enough for 3 adults and we didn't feel like we were on top of each other.   The staff were great! Very happy for a chat and accomodating of any requests. The room was pleasant with a big enough bath, different sized pillows (thank you for the option!) and cosy reverse cycle air con. The lounge area was well used by us. We curled up in front of the fire with a good book and a bottle of wine one afternoon and just relaxed:)... was die leute sagen » - Perfect location in the heart of Katoomba. Beautifully renovated to restore it's old glory in the public areas - while having modern, clean, spacious rooms with brand new bathrooms. Even with two king beds and a fold up single bed in a family room there was still plenty of room to move around.

  It's been a few years since I stayed at La Maison, and the standard seemed still very good, it is clean, secure and quiet. Continental breakfast is included, and in a very nice dining room. I didn't have a car on this occasion, but it is worth mentioning that there is undercover off street parking. Our room (#15) had plenty of space for the three of us (couple and child) and was clean and well-maintained. We had a car, so u/ground parking was handy with easy access to our room. I was also happy that my request for gluten-free bread at breakfast could be catered for, and that it was OK for me to bring my own gluten-free cereal to breakfast. Very nice cooked breakfast plenty to eat ,plenty of choice. Lovely staff, we arrived a bit early but were made welcome. Little bit out of town but the shuttle bus runs untill 5:30 (ish ) pm. Next door to the chocolate factory which is a cafe that makes hand made chocolates! We enjoyed our stay.
