Budget on the Lake (previously known as Lenwin on the Lake) offers lakeside accommodation in garden surrounds just 5 minutes’ drive from Hamilton’s city centre. All rooms are air conditioned and offer free WiFi. Guests receive a breakfast voucher per stay and 1 free espresso coffee. Sitting opposite Lake Hamilton, Budget on the Lake is within a 10-minute drive from both The Ansett Transport Museum and the Hamilton Golf Club. The Grampians National Park is 75 minutes' drive away. Each room has heating and offers electric blankets for your comfort. A seating area with cable TV and DVD player is standard in all rooms. Guests are welcome to use the laundry facilities on site. Pets may be allowed to stay upon request. There is free parking available on site. Some self-catering facilities are provided in-room. There are several restaurants and bars 5 minutes’ away in Hamilton.

Pleasant location and waking up to the ducks and birds. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Lovely hot shower. Plenty of blankets and pillows, good fluffy towels. I like the friendlyness of the management, and that when l have asked anything of them, they are very obliging and helpful, they never show annoyance...:). Pleasant welcome after a long trip from Melbourne - clean white sheets and comfortable bed and the hot shower also the quiet surrounds!.

Great breakfast and Wifi. Conveniently situated. My daughter and I (both mature ladies) had a twin room. The accommodation was affordable and basic. It met our needs for an overnight stay. The motel is in a central position opposite the lake - so easy to cross the road and go for a nice walk. Also appreciated having the extra appliances E.G. microwave, toaster etc. The staff most helpful as well. Overall, it is OK. But it is very basic. Sleeping was good and comfortable. The room was warm and the water pressure was excellent. Very basic but nice position away from town centre, lovely for walking around the lake. Convenience to the city. Efficient book in. Nice folk. Beds could have been more comfortable. That l didn't stay longer :):). Was a very cold night and could not get warm, so did not get a good nights sleep. a crow was a bit noisey but not to bad. The appearance as l drove into my room park, looked a bit drab. Leaking fridge, bathroom smelt abit mouldy and smokers sitting out the front of our room. The parking spaces provided outside the units are very narrow. We couldn't open our car doors fully on either side to get out and asked to be moved to another unit. The meals on offer (served to your room) were are bit pricey for what they were. We chose to go into town instead. But no klinex tissues, no plates, no spoons and forks, and no water glass to drink water. The shower screen was located on the wrong side, so it does not block all the water during shower. The TV screen was not stable. Room not fully stocked on arrival, very poor "clean" on day two of our three night stay. Small bathroom. VERY poor sound proofing from next apartment. The general rundown condition of the buildings and furnishings were a bit of a shock but we managed ok. Bit old. Non working bathroom power point. No iron or ironing board in room. Parking cramped.
