I was drawn to Budget by the reviews. While it was the cheapest, the next 2-3 higher in price were also non-chain, but had terrible reviews, and warnings. Not until you reached the chain motels did the reviews become decent.

I liked the front desk clerk named Joe who was very pleasant and helpful when I complained about the bed. As I was staying for a week, Joe was very cordial when he offered me not only another room, but an even better one. Thanks, Joe. I would stay there again and would recommend to friends who would be in the area.
