The Stockade Inn is a historical property, and she is stunningly beautiful. I loved the architectural detail that has lovingly been restored. I was regularly told "Yes!" by the staff when I asked to peek into yet another room (dining room, Billiards room, banquet room) to look at it because it was so beautiful.

An absolutely extraordinary, incomparable experience. All staff (desk, waitress, housekeeping) were engaging and very helpful. The entire meal was superior in every way. My lady loved the location, the historic preservation of the inn, the wall photographs of local history and people. We were a short walk to State Street and toured the Proctor theatre, finding a vibrant cultural and historical vibe about town we did not otherwise know. We will be back, in a heartbeat.
