Other tha - There was nothing that I did not like. The two-story Plinko board with soccer balls, the leisure room in the loft, the design - from the metal dog to the wall of convicts - all perfect. The staff was friendly, knowledgable, and enthusiastic about their hotel. Their location is perfect - close enough to Union Square to enjoy the nightlife, but far enough away to avoid the noise; the bart is half a block away and provides access to the entire city. I highly recommend this hotel.

  We have a big family and were given a very large room with a view. This was a pleasant surprise as the only negative comments I read from reviews before our stay was in regard to small rooms without a view. - The staff was very nice and helpful, and it is a beautiful and comfortable place to stay.

  We appreciate their great service and friendly staff. Our room was very clean and comfortable -- great pillows! We and many others enjoyed the wine that was served every evening in the lobby between 5:00 - 6:00 PM.   The staff were really good and helpful. It felt secure with gated coded card access. It's not a 5 star hotel. It has dated decor has all the basics including free wifi. It looks like they are slowly renovating the hotel so I guess the room rates will go up but maybe not.   For the price it had everything I expected and more. While small the spa area and exercise area were superior and the staff GREAT. I just wish it opened earlier than 9 am.   I absolutely LOVED everything! It was beautiful from the moment I first saw it, before I even walked inside. It was so easy to get to from BART and in a perfect location. The entire staff was sincerely friendly, kind, helpful and seemed to only know how to say "Yes, of course we can".   I found the service to be excellent and it started way before we even arrived. The concierge helped us to find the right tour companies and plan out our trip so it was everything we wanted. Gliezl at the front desk was amazing and moved us to a quiet floor after moving twice due to the thinness of the walls. She was professional, friendly and efficient and made sure we got a room without an interleding door as well as a breathtaking bay view!
