  We had a wonderful stay with our family- the rooms are bit cramp, but we knew this. We wanted to stay near union square and that we did. We were able to really enjoy everything in walking distance.   Our stay at the Holiday Inn Fisherman's Wharf was great. We had a clean, tidy room that was serviced daily. We were a block walk away from where our hop on hop off bus departed from. Location was great! Just 5min walk to Pier 39. Bear in mind you do have to still have to be mind - The location is perfect for those who want to explore San Fran on foot. Chinatown, Little Italy, Lombard St, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghirardelli Square, and the Marina are all within a 10-15 minute walking distance. Take bus 49 from outside the hotel and you can take a quick ride ($2/day pass) to go visit the Painted Ladies or Japan Town. There is great food nearby and tours that go to the bridge and beyond.
