Hotel was like an Oasis off the busy Lombard St. Get a courtyard facing room and its very quiet. We initially had a street facing room which was loud but not unbearable, especially later on in the evening. Staff at the hotel did offer us earplugs if we needed them. Rooms are very clean and some have kitchens. Parking is free which is very handy as Lombard St is so busy. Chestnut St is immediately north of Lombard St with plenty of bars and nice restaurants. Safe place to be and the number 30 bu.
所有评语 » The entire property is lovely and maintained well. The room was pristine and charming. I wish we had been off the street in the courtyard, but that is something we will do next time we come into town. The parking was a huge bonus and the proximity to the bus line made it possible to just leave the car parked the entire time we were in the city! What a jewel! P.S. when I forgot my prescriptions at home, the front desk person helped me get them replaced there in the city, and even looked up the p. I was very happy that I found this gem among the sea of hotel choices. Accommodations were clean and quaint.Free parking was a big plus. Its easier to get around the city with public transportation which is just steps away. But if you do take a drive the hotel's location was easy access to the golden gate bridge and rt 101. Can be a little noisy if you have a street view room but nothing that a pair of ear plugs couldn't fix. We slept like babies. Staff was so helpful and friendly. enjoyed our. The receptionist was very welcoming and had allocated us a quiet room at the end of the courtyard, as requested. The courtyard was breathtaking: full of beautiful flowers and we even saw 2 humming birds. Location was good with many restaurants nearby in Chestnut Street. Good,public transport to Fisherman' s Wharf which is about 2.5 miles from the hotel. Good carpark on the premises. The courtyard view was beautiful. And the fact that we didn't have to pay for parking was such a help. Not only did we not have to pay but I was very happy with the fact that I knew my car was safe in the individual car garage. The room itself was very nice and clean. Very comfertable. I would definitely stay here again. And highly recommended it to friends and family. The location was great for the Presidio and Chestnut street has many nice cafes/restaurants good grocery store. Access to buses. I liked the fact that it is family owned and operated. The courtyard was charming. Bathrooms very nice. Our interactions with staff were pleasant. The price was very, very reasonable. It was clean and well maintained. The grounds were lovely, beautiful flowers and very cute courtyard. The room was comfy and charming. The owner and grounds man were very friendly and helpful. We walked to 2 different nearby neighborhoods for coffee, dinner and cute shops. We took the 30 bus to att park and it was a snap. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The location. It's near to every point of interest in San Francisco. From Golden Gate Bridge to Fishermanwarf (walking distance approximately 15-20 minutes every direction), Civic Center, and Union Square (15-20 minutes by bus). Bus stop (no. 30) is conveniently located one block away from the hotel. It was close to all tourist attractions. It was nice and quiet and brought a nice whimsical element to the experience. The staff was really no e and always ready to help. It was an amazing stat for the price, clean and comfy, will stay here again. Oh and there was covered parking all the time!. The room was clean and nicely decorated. The entire property was very charming, areal jewel in the midst of the Marina District. The restaurants nearby were excellent. The free parking was a HUGE plus, especially in San Francisco. The staff was friendly and helpful. We all loved the place!. I loved the atmosphere. It was relaxing, cozy and beautiful. The court yard was amazing. The room was on the small side, but it was quaint and cozy. The staff were very freindly and helpfull. You had your own personal garage to park your car in! The artistry and foliage that surrounds the entire grounds make me feel like we're visiting during a time long ago. I actually booked the room for our son & his family visiting for a birthday. I've lived in this City for years and just found you! Everything was great, charming hotel and lovely, well appointed, clean room. Everyone loved it. You are now my "go to" for visitors. You can go to sleep listening to fog horns. This is a secret garden right in the middle of the Marina. You are surrounded by beautiful flowerbeds. The location is great for walking, and your car is in its own garage when you get ready to drive right onto the GG Bridge. Having free parking, given the majority of the hotels in San Francisco have a daily fee of 35$ and above. The location of the hotel is quite ok, near the major sights of the city, however if you don't have a car or prefer walking it could be very challenging distance. Like a small, cozy, European- country-style inn in the city in very nice Marina district area with exceptional(on a par with Rome) e' Angelo, Italian restaurant on Chestnut Street, almost around the corner and "ditto" for the Marina Supermarket and Marina Bakery. The staff was helpful and friendly. The location was excellent...walking distance to restaurants and shopping. There was free parking on site. The courtyard was lovely....with flower boxes and painted flowers on the walls! The room was clean and comfortable. A+. Gorgeous apartment. The design of this simple apartment was just lovely. I felt so comfortable I could have moved in. Lovely location and great walk to Chester St with all its shops and cafes and to Fisherman's Wharf. Everything we needed was close by. The gardens are beautifully kept and cared for by a gardener who clearly takes pride in his work! The garages beneath the rooms made parking very convenient! It's just a short walk to the waterfront and conveniently near the Golden Gate Bride. We had an inside room, was perfect. Good location, lots of places on Chestnut to eat, or have drinks. Recomend the Dragons Well for Chineese, the Squat and Gobble for Crepes. Chicken pesto was the best! The Tipsy Pig good for drinks. Upgrade to inside room, call to request. Kitchen a plus even though the Food in sf is too good to bother cooking. I enjoy cooking so usually use a kitchen. Short walk to America Cup Race. Stores next block I enjoy walking to waterfront,. Friendly and helpful staff. Pleasantly surprised by the motel. The grounds were well kept and absolutely beautiful. Kind of a Mediterranean style tucked away only a short ride to Fisherman's Wharf. The room itself was very nice as well. Love the location, the beautiful courtyard and friendly people. Also, the parking garages are a big plus. We occasionally do the Escape From Alcatraz triathlon and its perfect for preparing and storing the bikes and other race gear. I am a repeat customer. Your facility is charming, very clean, reasonably quiet (on court yard side) and nicely located. Your parking terms (and extensions past check out) are great. I highly recommend this motel. Cleanliness, quality bed, quietude (due to courtyard room and thick walls), off- street parking, beautiful courtyard, proximity to buses and shops, antique decor, well equipped kitchen, good value for San Francisco. Our own spacious garage right in the middle of San Francisco. Location- fairly close to tourist destinations, bus stop right outside. Bright cheerful room. Supermarket next door. Plenty of places to eat nearby. Location is just great. Garage under you room.in SF is something great. Restaurants and Saveway nearby. All the attraction arround. And trasportation in SF is just fine. I recomend Marina to.all my friends. Surprisingly, a 4 star Inn for a 3 star price. Each room has its own garage. Just one street down is a neighborhood filled with some great restaurants. Also, just a block away from the famous Presidio. Nice hotel very close to Chestnut street with lots of restaurants. A mistake was made with the booking, caused by letsbookhotel.com? (remark from hotel). But this was corrected in 2nd and 3rd night. Great location, will for sure stay here again! The hotel felt close to everything we wanted to do, as well as a bus stop around the block to get any where you couldn't walk.We all loved it!!!. This was a really cute place. The beds were comfortable and the room was clean. It was very convenient to have the garage parking and the location was great for shopping and restaurants. I loved this motel!! Free parking was the biggest drawcard as every other hotel I looked at was around us $30 per night. Room was clean. Only a 10 minute drive from Union Square. Friendly and helpful staff. The location that meant it was possible to walk to Fishermans Wharf etc. Also proximity to a few good restaurants, little bakery etc. The gardens are beautifully kept even in November. I loved the vintage charm, the neighborhood, & garages! It's a comfortable place, & dog friendly. It was lovely to see all the guests out dor strolls, human & canine :). love the room and location for me, my husband and our 8 year old son. I love the attention to décor in the bedrooms. beautiful place, courtyard outdoors feels very european with nicely redone rooms with nice compact kitchens., allows for home cooking I love staying there personal garages :). this motel was clean, quiet, in a great place on Lombard Street, and the free parking was wonderful. The interior courtyard was very unique and comforting in a busy city. Room was cozy and nice, clean. Decent sized with kitchen and bathroom. New tv, fridge. Bath soaps and shampoos good quality. Private garage with lots of room. Free wi-fi. Rooms with kitchen and courtyard view are excellent. It is like a home away from home. We spent 5 nights there and can prepare some simple meals instead of eating out. Parking available. Close to the city or easy to reach with public transportation. Room big enough Kitchen available Quiet if the room is not on the street-side. Loved the courtyard , loved how close it is to shopping and restaurants, It is safe and quiet , so close to the Marina district and parks! What a great value!!. We enjoyed the stay. It's now my go-to spot for SF visits. Street facing rooms can be noisy during the day. If you end up in a room on the street you had better not mind very loud white noise from the traffic on the street. The rooms are small. We are a family of five so it was a bit cramped for a longer stay it would have gotten old. No HBO!. The night person at the desk was not too helpful when we asked for a fan. We noticed there was one in the closet after we went down to get one. (Not a big deal but it would have been nice for her to mention that there is one in the room already). The heater was on all night even though the outside temperature was quite high. Bed was a lil old and creaky but definitely still decent. The mattress was a bit uncomfortable. Nothing negative. Wi-Fi inoperable. I have no complaints about the Marina Motel!. Nothing. absolutely nothing - we loved it and will definitely recommend to friends. The hassle to finally get the rate quoted on the website. Room a bit smaller than most other accommodation. Traffic can be noisy in the front rooms. Street noise first night. Nothing!. There was quite a bit of street noise in the room close to the street, but wearing ear plugs while sleeping was enough to block the noise. N/a. Very sadly , there were some tramps,one of whom was pretty aggressive towards us, not far from the hotel. This seems to be a feature in much of San Francisco however and wouldn't put me off returning. We used the sofa bed and found childrens socks inside and some chocolate crums... hmmmm. But it wasn't horrible just surprising. Also the front desk staff was a bit gruff upon entering after 5 hours on the road she could have been more helpful. but she did her job and we loved our stay. Will be back again!!!. There is nothing I don't like about The Marina Motel. sometimes it's a little too pricey and too noisy if you have a room upfront facing the main busy street lombard. Room temp hard to adjust, old radiator. Mattress sloped inward. Very loud, both street noise and adjacent room noise. Maid service only brought new towels, didn't clean. You need to have a car to stay at this location. It is away from major attractions. Room was a bit smelly Parking place a bit confusing (some are reserved for a specific room, others not, but it is not clear). A bit far from city center, though it wasn't a big problem at all. Older hotel, the walls are pretty thin. I could hear the guy next door zip up his suitcase. A little noisy from the street outside our room, but it did not disturb our sleep and the owners had pre-warned us. Dated decor.
