The staff, contrary to some of the reviews, were extremely pleasant and helpful and the quality of the finishings of the hotel very pleasing. I had requested a small single room but was given a standard room on the 19th floor which very tastefully furnished.

It was my daughter and son's first trip to NYC and coming by train it was a very convenient location. The staff was extremely courteous, helpful and locked our luggage after check-out so we could sightsee. The staff are fabulous, very friendly, professional, cannot do more to help. The pool is great - at times (weekend afternoons when the sun is out) it is quite a "scene" which might annoy someone looking to relax but it is what it is (and at other times it is very relaxing).
