We stayed there for 2 nights. It was a great experience. We felt this hotel has a very special athmosphere.
At our arrival the hotel owners came out of the hotel to welcome us and to help us to park our car (it is bit less space to park the car right at the hotel, but this wasn't really an issue)
The Benchmark Inn is a small hotel with just a few rooms. Everything was clean. The room has a lot little extras.

I love the location and the ambiance, the house reminds me of home because I used to live in this neighborhood when I lived in Brookline in the 60's and 70's so it was like going home. The rooms are tastefully decorated and very clean and the bed's are comfortable with lovely feather pillows. -

The owners, Maggie and Joey, were very personable and accomodating as we
have 2 young children (ages 2 and 4). -
Lovely old property in a very pretty spot, accessible by public
transport from Boston ( the bus drops you off right outside). The view
is also stunning. Magpie is a wonderful host, attentive without being
overbearing and the food is excellent. She is also very good at giving
full and detailed information on how to get to the B&B in advance. I
would definitely recommend this to anyone.

We enjoyed our stay. The room was clean however could have used some different curtains to darken the room for sleeping. Clean and quiet are my two biggies. CSH was both. What amazed me was the level of service. Breakfast was wonderful with specialty coffees and real eggs. The owner and the managers and staff were so gracious and helped with everything we needed.
Thank you for providing a memorable stay for us and our kids from Waltham. You even let the kids (4 of them) have a gratis breakfast with us twice. With hot chocolate. WOW!
